If anything, mapping is a political and an ethical practice. When you choose to make a space visible, you are acknowledging certain lives. Likewise, when you choose to ignore some spaces, you invisibilise some lives.
Of course, all maps are distortions. But whose interest, whose favour are you distorting your map for?
